Bernardus Founder Ben Pon set out to make a red wine equal to the finest from Bordeaux and chose Carmel Valley for his estate vineyards. A premium selection of vines were curated over the 30+ year vineyard history. The 37-acre vineyard is currently planted with 32 acres of vines comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Petit Syrah, and Merlot. The wines produced from the vineyard are consistently awarded 90+ scores for their quality and structure that will age. The property includes a residence (1,560 SF), shop/ office (4,380 SF) and an equipment shed (2,400 SF). There are several building sites across the 4 parcels where estate homes can be built.
